Memory executives expect RAM shortage to continue through 2028

Micron and Samsung executives confirmed that the global memory shortage will persist through at least 2028. Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said the company’s high-bandwidth memory for AI and server DRAM demand will outpace supply, and that manufacturing capacity is being prioritized for these sectors, reducing RAM available for consumer devices.
