Meta hired Luke Metz seven months after OpenAI hired him back

Luke Metz has joined Meta’s Superintelligence Labs, reporting to Alexandr Wang, after leaving OpenAI for Thinking Machines and re-joining OpenAI in January. The move, announced by Axios and first spotted on X, adds him to a lab that recently launched Muse Image and Muse Spark. Meta’s AI hiring spree follows large investments in Scale AI and ongoing rentals of Microsoft Azure models.
