Meta launched Pocket in the US, and the app it came from shut down the same day

Meta released Pocket, a free iOS and Android app that generates interactive “gizmos” from text prompts, displays them in a scrollable feed, and allows users to remix or comment on others’ creations. It replaces the Gizmo app, whose team Meta hired and whose technology it licensed, and the original app was shut down the same day Pocket launched in the United States. Pocket operates on Meta’s Muse Spark model, becoming the first consumer app built on that technology before an external API is offered.
