Mexican student creates an acoustic fire extinguisher to put out fire in seconds

Ángela Karime Venegas Hernández, a 16-year-old student at CETIS 78 in Altamira, built a fire-extinguishing device that uses a 12-V battery, frequency generator and speaker to emit 30 Hz pulses, displacing oxygen and extinguishing flames in five to eight seconds. She has verified its effectiveness on candles, wood, flammable liquids, cooking grease and electronic equipment, and will showcase the “Vortex Tech” system at an international fair representing Mexico.
