Microsoft stops insisting you need a "Copilot+ PC"

Microsoft has stopped labeling its new Surface PCs as “Copilot+ PCs,” even though the devices meet the criteria for AI-accelerated workloads. The company’s marketing push for the Copilot+ PC brand began in 2024 to signal Windows systems ready for local AI tasks. Surface corporate VP Brett Ostrum confirmed the new models are not marketed under that name.
