More Americans are warming to EVs, a new study finds

The HERE-SBD EV Index, using charge-point data and a survey of over 4,000 drivers, reports U.S. charging-infrastructure perception rising from 28% to 47% in one year, with 60% expecting further improvement. It finds 53% of respondents more open to electric cars, despite battery-electric market share dropping to 5.37% after the federal tax credit ended. The United States added 31,600 public charge points—a 13% increase—and total charging capacity grew 47% from 14.1 GW to 20.7 GW.
