mRNA cancer vaccine shows protection at 5-year follow-up, Moderna and Merck say

A customized mRNA vaccine reduced cancer recurrence and death by nearly 50% over five years. The vaccine, intismeran autogene, was tested in a small clinical trial with 157 high-risk skin cancer patients. It was compared to standard treatment, including Merck's Keytruda.
