Nvidia has agreed to acquire open-source AI platform Hugging Face for $12.9 billion, marking its second-largest purchase after a $20 billion deal for Groq assets. The acquisition pushes Nvidia further up the AI stack beyond hardware, integrating Hugging Face’s models and tools into its ecosystem.
