Muon Space raises $250m from backers including Google and Salesforce

Muon Space raised $250 million, led by Google and Salesforce, adding to a previous $146 million Series B from Congruent Ventures and others. Its FireSat constellation, with three satellites launched in July, detects classroom-size wildfires. The Halo platform plans 500 satellites per year from San Jose, and the company acquired Starlight Engines for Hall-effect thrusters while developing the Víndler RF-sensing constellation for Sierra Space, indicating a move toward defense contracts.
