My Recent Woodworking Projects
I built a wooden dog gate for my stairs using a simple mortise-and-tenon design, cutting the pieces with handsaws and a Black & Decker workmate, then mounting it with rawlplugs and screws. The gate required five screws after initial settling, and I painted it white with Dulux satinwood paint, noting the lack of primer. The project took a weekend and revealed my tendency to rush finishing steps.
