NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, launching August 30, will map vast sky areas with Hubble-level resolution and a field of view 100 times larger, enabling precise measurements of gravitational lensing to trace dark matter and dark energy. Over its five-year mission, Roman will survey hundreds of millions of stars, discovering up to 200,000 new exoplanets and an additional ~1,000 via microlensing, while also probing the universe’s large-scale structure.
