NASA's next "great observatory" begins mission to widen our view of the Universe

NASA’s $4.3 billion Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope launched Sunday from Kennedy Space Center, carrying a 300-megapixel camera mounted on a refurbished spy-satellite mirror. Its field of view will be 100 times wider than Hubble’s, designed to map the forces shaping the Universe and to complement James Webb’s observations.
