Nearly impossible? How Fairphone built the ethical, repairable Fairphone Gen 6+

Fairphone’s Gen 6+ retails for $650 and is built for five-year use, featuring a fully replaceable 6.31-inch OLED screen and user-serviceable battery, camera modules, USB-C port and eleven other components using only a T5 Torx screwdriver. The modular design avoids glue, uses recycled materials and conflict-free minerals, and adds a few millimetres to thickness while reducing e-waste and repair costs.
