Netflix is making movies based on Crazy Taxi and Stranger than Heaven

Netflix will produce a live-action Crazy Taxi comedy, written by Dan Gregor and Doug Mand, slated after the next game release. A live-action crime film adapts Yakuza/Like A Dragon’s Stranger Than Heaven, launching on PC and console January 15. The company will launch a preschool Sonic animated series following Sonic Prime. Additional adaptations include an Assassin’s Creed series set in ancient Rome, an Overcooked cooking-competition show, a Diablo animated series, and a second season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. All projects are in development for Netflix’s streaming platform.
