Netherlands pulls gold out of the US for fears of 'geopolitical unrest'

The Dutch central bank moved 86 tonnes of gold from the United States and Canada to the Bank of England between March and August, joining its existing Zeist holdings. The transfer aims to improve crisis-preparedness amid concerns that geopolitical tensions could restrict access to North-American gold. The Netherlands’ total reserves total 612.4 tonnes, valued at €72.2 billion.
