Nevada allows Uber, Tesla and Waymo to start paid robotaxi service

Nevada’s Transportation Authority granted Tesla, Waymo and Uber Autonomous Vehicle Network Company permits to operate paid robotaxi services in Clark County, allowing up to 5,000 Tesla units, 1,000 Waymo units and 1,000 Uber units over the next year. Tesla aims to run 2,500 vehicles by 2027 and is preparing a five-minute emergency-response video for first responders. Uber will deploy its fleet alongside Amazon-owned Zoox and Hyundai-owned Motional.
