New Jersey just legalised cheap plug-in balcony solar panels

New Jersey enacted a law allowing plug-in balcony solar panels up to 1,200 W, prohibiting municipalities from requiring permits and preventing landlords from denying installations. Germany incorporated the same right into its civil code in October 2024 and now records 1.31 million registered systems delivering roughly 1.34 GW of capacity.
