New Twitter launches, says Musk's X gave up the name

Operation Bluebird, a Virginia startup, has launched a new social media platform called Twitter.now, claiming to revive the abandoned “Twitter” name and logo after Elon Musk renamed the original company to X in 2022. Stephen Coates, a cofounder, stated the company has investors, a product, and has waited months before launching. The launch follows Ars’ December 2025 report that Musk’s acquisition led to the abandonment of Twitter’s intellectual property.
