New Twitter rebrands to Tweet.app after court's double-edged ruling

A federal judge ruled that Operation Bluebird cannot use the “Twitter” name because it would likely cause consumer confusion, but found the word “tweet” and the bird logo abandoned by X Corp., allowing their use. The startup rebranded to Tweet.app, opened a waitlist with over 172 000 sign-ups, and offers $20 handle reservations and a $40 “Fighter” tier with founder perks. The trademark case continues toward trial.
