No constitutional right to clean water, federal court finds

The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed a lower-court dismissal, ruling that the U.S. Constitution provides no right to clean drinking water or to truthful public-health information. Judge Kurt Engelhardt said the plaintiffs’ claim of a bodily-integrity violation lacked historical or Supreme Court precedent, directing them to political remedies.
