Nuclear startup Bluecore Energy raises $50M seed round, just two months after launch

Bluecore Energy secured an oversubscribed $50 million seed round just two months after emerging from stealth, adding to its earlier $10 million pre-seed. The startup builds floating small-modular reactors for ports, with two barges already deployed and partnerships with the U.S. DOT Maritime Division, NRC, and Coast Guard. The new funding will support product development, regulatory certification, nuclear fuel procurement, and hiring to meet demand from ports, AI data centers, and communities.
