Nvidia to Acquire Hugging Face

NVIDIA will acquire Hugging Face for $12.93 billion, aiming to scale the platform that hosts over 3 million models, 500 000 datasets and 1 million applications used by more than 18 million developers and 200 000 companies. The deal promises to keep Hugging Face open-source, multi-cloud and multi-accelerator while leveraging NVIDIA’s infrastructure to improve reliability, safety, model evaluation, inference and deployment.
