OpenAI is gaining on Anthropic with business users, new data indicates

Ramp’s analysis of over 70,000 U.S. businesses shows Anthropic overtaking OpenAI in market share among its paying users, rising from 41% versus OpenAI’s 39% in May to nearly 44% versus almost 40% by July. In Q3, OpenAI’s growth rate among these firms is outpacing Anthropic’s, though the overall AI-spending share rose from 50% in March to almost 56% in July.
