OpenAI is piloting Private Safety Processing, a technique that flags misuse patterns while retaining zero-data-retention guarantees, with its first customers. Stripe agreed to buy OpenRouter for $7.5 billion, allocating $1.5 billion to the founders and $6 billion to investors, linking Stripe’s payments platform to OpenRouter’s AI-model routing services.
