OpenAI spills technical details about how its AI coding agent works

OpenAI's coding agent can write code, run tests, and fix bugs with human supervision. The agent, called Codex, uses a design philosophy outlined by OpenAI engineer Michael Bolin. Codex is useful for rapid prototyping but requires human oversight for production work.
