Opus 5.0 drives incoherence into the stratosphere
Claude Opus 4.8 and later versions (including 5.0 and Fable 5) default to a verbose, jargon-laden style that repeatedly inserts invented corporate terms, forced metaphors and negative framing, making responses hard to read and often requiring users to re-parse or post-process the output. This regression in language calibration has prompted many daily users to consider alternative providers due to the increased comprehension cost and perceived decline from earlier 4.5/4.6 models.
