Oracle has set aside $700M more for job cuts it has not made yet

Oracle increased the projected cost of its 2026 restructuring by $700 million to roughly $2.8 billion, mainly for anticipated severance, though the layoffs have not yet occurred. The company, which trimmed headcount 13% to 141 000 employees, plans to cut staff primarily outside the United States, subject to EU collective-redundancy consultation rules. Larry Ellison’s new trading plan permits him to sell 50 million shares worth about $8.75 billion by 24 October.
