Paramount/WBD merger conditions give the public "virtually nothing," judge is told

A coalition of free-speech and media advocacy groups urged a judge to reject a California settlement that would allow Paramount Skydance to complete its $111 billion merger with Warner Bros. Discovery. They argue the deal would give residents of the states that sued Paramount “virtually nothing,” while the settlement was approved by California Attorney General Rob Bonta and other states. Judge Araceli Martínez-Olguín must decide whether to approve the settlement.
