Pentagon seeks $30.3m for an AI lie detector that reads the body from afar

The Pentagon is requesting $30.3 million over five years to develop an AI-powered lie detector that can read a person’s body from a distance, called Polygraph+ or Polygraph Next. The program is included in the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency’s 2027 budget request.
