Phil Schiller is leaving his roles as head of the App Store and Apple events, though he will retain his Apple Fellow title and work on unspecified initiatives. He joined Apple in 1987, became head of marketing in 1997, co-launched the App Store in 2008, and led it from 2015, contributing to the development of iPhone, iPad, iPod and Mac products.
