Poland has asked the European Commission to fine Meta €250M over scam ads

Poland’s deputy prime minister and digital affairs minister Krzysztof Gawkowski has formally requested that the European Commission impose a €250 million fine on Meta for allowing scams and false advertising on Facebook and Instagram. He also demanded that Meta immediately deploy effective tools to block scams, deceptive ads, and the promotion of illegal applications.
