Progress Linux 7.2 – Asahi Linux

Linux 7.2 arrives with new Asahi Linux progress, focusing on Apple Silicon power management. Because Apple’s cores lack EL3, the kernel cannot use standard PSCI calls, so the m1n1 bootloader is repurposed to provide a PSCI-like interface in EL2 while loading U-Boot to expose UEFI Runtime Services for flexible bootloader selection.
