Project Blinkenlights

Project Blinkenlights converts building facades into interactive screens, starting with the 2001 Haus des Lehrers installation in Berlin (18 × 8 monochrome pixels). Subsequent displays include the 2002 Paris Bibliothèque nationale de France (26 × 20, eight greyscales), the 2008 Toronto City Hall matrix (96 × 32, sixteen greyscales), and the 2023 Polychrome series supporting color. Its website offers original animations, a Movie Converter for GIF and WebP output, and a two-decade press archive.
