PS2 or GameCube: Which retro console emulates better?

Dolphin can run about 97% of GameCube titles while PCSX2 handles roughly 99% of PS2 games, but Dolphin generally requires less GPU power, achieving 4K/60 fps on cards such as an RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 5600 XT. The GameCube’s simpler IBM “Gekko” CPU and ATI “Flipper” GPU make its emulation less demanding than the PS2’s complex Emotion Engine, which still poses greater setup challenges.
