PwC projects that the global investment in AI infrastructure will reach $31.6 trillion by 2050

PwC’s Oxford Economics model estimates $31.6 trillion in global AI-infrastructure spending through 2050, with annual capex rising from $800 billion this year to $1.8 trillion by 2050; the United States accounts for $15.1 trillion (48%) and Asia-Pacific $8.2 trillion. Equipment will grow from 70% to 93% of data-centre capital costs, shifting assets from long-lived buildings to rapidly obsolescing AI accelerators and altering financing, ownership, and investment-fund models.
