Re-Engineering YouTube for the Living Room: Bringing "Chrobalt" to RDK

Collabora partnered with Google’s YouTube Cobalt and Device Partner Engineering teams to create the first RDK-based reference platform for Chrobalt, the Chromium-based successor to classic Cobalt, targeting Amlogic-powered Smart TVs and set-top boxes. The platform, validated at the YouTube Device Partner Summit, supports Chrobalt versions 26.eap and 27.lts and provides a Starboard porting layer for OEMs to run YouTube on low-resource living-room devices.
