'Reasonable' consumers know they don't own digital downloads, Sony says

Sony argued that a “reasonable” consumer would know a PlayStation Store purchase provides a revocable license, not ownership, per Section 1 of its Software License Agreement. It also emailed customers that digital games are licensed and confirmed it will stop producing physical games by 2028.
