Renault is building its €17,900 Dacia Spring EV in Europe to qualify for local subsidies

Renault will move Dacia Spring EV production to its Novo Mesto plant in Slovenia to meet French subsidy criteria, pricing the base model at €17,900 (€12,200 after credits). It features a 27.5 kWh LFP battery with 155 mi WLTP range, 80 hp, optional 50 kW DC fast-charging (28 min 15-80%). The updated model is 7.1 inches wider, 5.9 inches longer, and includes a 7-inch digital cluster, 10.1-inch touchscreen, and optional Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
