Research carried out using NetBSD

NASA Lewis’s Satellite Networks and Architectures Branch uses NetBSD to test TCP changes like selective-acknowledgement retransmission and larger initial windows on satellite and terrestrial links, coordinating with IETF groups. The KAME project added IPv6 and IPsec to NetBSD in June 1999. NEC Europe Network Laboratories employs NetBSD for IPv6 deployment research and next-generation Internet protocol experiments.
