Researchers say OpenAI revoked their access to limited cyber program
OpenAI revoked access for several researchers to its Trusted Access for Cyber (TAC) program, showing messages that their identity could not be verified or that they were ineligible. The company said a technical issue affecting a limited number of users caused the removals, limited to certain regions, and instructed users to re-apply and complete verification. TAC’s Daybreak Blue tier grants access to frontier models such as GPT-5.6 Sol for defensive security, while the Daybreak Red tier enables authorized vulnerability research and exploit validation.
