Revolut gets its Colombian banking licence, its sixth worldwide

Revolut received a banking licence from Colombia’s Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia, its sixth worldwide, allowing it to operate as a regulated bank after meeting capital requirements. The company plans to launch a full range of financial products, focusing on everyday banking and cross-border remittances, with 200,000 Colombians already on its waiting list. Revolut’s global customer base exceeds 80 million, and it aims for 100 million by mid-2027.
