RFK Jr. may upend how vaccine recommendations are categorized

The Health Department, led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., issued a Request for Information proposing new vaccine-recommendation categories such as “recommended with qualification” or “shared clinical decision-making.” The proposal invites public comment by September 20 and would modify the current CDC framework of routine (universal), risk-based, and shared clinical decision-making recommendations overseen by ACIP.
