RFK Jr.'s CDC isn’t letting states order COVID-19 shots for kids, blocking access

The CDC has delayed distributing seasonal COVID-19 vaccines to the Vaccine for Children program, preventing many states from ordering shots for uninsured, underinsured, Medicaid-eligible, or Indigenous children. About 52% of U.S. children qualify for VFC, and 11 states plus American Samoa already purchase all child vaccines through universal purchase contracts.
