Riot is ending development on its League of Legends fighting game
Riot Games will stop active development on its free-to-play League of Legends fighting game 2XKO at the end of 2026 due to insufficient player retention. Servers will stay online beyond 2026, all characters will be unlocked, and players will receive refunds for purchases. The title launched in an early-access PC beta in October 2025 and reached PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in January, after which Riot began reducing staff on the project.
