Rivian’s CFO is leaving after six years

Rivian CFO Claire McDonough will leave at October’s end after nearly six years to become CFO of GE Vernova, with finance VP Derek Mulvey acting as interim CFO. Under her leadership, Rivian went public, launched three models, secured a Volkswagen joint venture funded up to $5.8 billion—including a $1 billion tranche tied to winter-testing milestones—and is now ramping up the R2 model to deliver 65,000-70,000 units while meeting VW-linked technical targets.
