Robot dogs on farms do a lot more than just guarding

Synergenta’s robodog, built with spinning LIDAR, high-resolution cameras, and an onboard GPU, traverses fields and greenhouses to capture 3-D models and crop images, then runs AI vision models locally to detect weeds, pests, and disease. The robot’s ability to navigate uneven, wet terrain without damaging crops fills a gap left by satellites, drones, and manual inspections, enabling farmers to generate detailed ground-level datasets for precision agriculture.
