Roland is getting into generative AI music with Melody Flip

Roland’s Melody Flip is a DAW plug-in that introduces generative AI music creation. It supplies roughly 250 genre-specific “Palettes” of musical ideas and lets users generate or expand melodies, chord progressions, basslines, or drums, optionally using a reference track. Unlike Suno or Udio, it produces only instrumental elements rather than fully polished, vocal-filled songs.
