The rules for reviewing frontier AI models are secret. The companies that have read them are the big ones.

More than 25 organizations have urged the White House to release a voluntary framework that governs pre-deployment review of frontier AI models, which was finished on 1 August and shared only with a select group of large companies. Smaller and open-source developers were largely excluded, prompting criticism that the rules are being kept secret from most stakeholders.
