Samsung hiked foundry prices up to 15%, with China paying the steepest

Samsung raised prices for its advanced contract chipmaking: 4-nm SF4 orders rose 10-15% in China and the United States, 5-nm SF5 wafers increased 10-15% as of July, and Taiwanese customers faced 5-10% hikes. U.S. export restrictions on Chinese buyers drove the steepest Chinese price increases. Samsung projects AI and high-performance computing to account for over 30% of its foundry revenue this year, up from about 15-20% in late 2025.
