Sequoia doubles down on Cymphony as AI agents create new enterprise security risks

Sequoia Capital led a $30 million Series A round for Cymphony, valuing the New York-Tel Aviv startup at over $100 million, to address security gaps as AI agents access corporate data without traditional identity controls. Cymphony’s platform creates a “workforce graph” that maps employees, AI agents, and non-human identities to visible systems and data, automatically detecting exposures—such as 85,000 files at a U.S. public firm—and using AI-driven investigation and remediation to tighten permissions.
